The 2277 Seaforth Highlanders RCACC is an organization of youth aged 12-18. Our Corps is comprised of 45 cadets from Langley, Cloverdale, and Abbotsford, who meet at the centrally located HD Stafford Middle School in Langley.

These cadets come from a range of backgrounds, but the one thing they all have in common is a deep involvement in community service including, among other things: visiting veterans, taking part in local Remembrance Day Services, marching in community parades, volunteering their time for the annual Legion annual open houses, and much more. The 2277 cadets have a high profile in the community and are well known for their exemplary comportment when meeting the public. Members of our Corps have won awards for pipe band and marksmanship, and many have achieved, or are working towards, earning a bronze, silver or gold, Duke of Edinburgh award.

The cadet movement instills valuable life and work skills such as teamwork, leadership, and citizenship as they  participate in opportunities ranging from outdoor adventures to musical training, national, and international, travel exchanges, and first aid certification. The Army Cadet organization is made possible through a partnership between the Department of National Defence, the Army Cadet League of Canada, and local community and volunteer support.

When you support our cadets you are supporting the local community. Donations to the 2277 Corps are used for band equipment, kilts and Scottish accoutrements required for parades and ceremonial occasions, travel expenses for exchanges, camping gear, and for local recreational activities.
